This week saw our custom joinery installed in Josh & Elyse’s breathtaking studio.  We created a custom Spotted Gum timber veneer vanity in the ensuite, which was grain matched and design with a custom finger pull recess, to create a sleek and modern design.

Studio Renovation

Josh and Elyse have consistently set the benchmark by completing their home in high end finishes which we definitely hope will convert into a winning result for Josh & Elyse come auction day. The accent of natural timber species throughout brings soul, warmth & continuity to the stunning home they have created.

For an ultimate custom storage solution in the studio renovation we installed full height custom 2pac wardrobes with matching black internals, shelving, hanging rails & soft close drawers.

We also created a custom Spotted Gum timber veneer bench top in the entry and landing area and a custom spotted gum veneer open laundry shelf.

Laundry Renovation

Whilst the laundry cabinetry was contracted and installed by a major sponsor Freedom; they were unable to create a timber shelf that Josh & Elyse wanted to give their laundry some softness. Of course we were more than willing to create a custom Spotted Gum timber veneer open shelf for them and it looks fabulous in the laundry design.

Guest Bedroom Renovation

You can also see the details of our 2pac shaker profile robes in Dulux Antique White USA in the guest bedroom we were asked to create. We installed internal drawers, adjustable shelving and plenty of hanging space in this guest bedroom to maximise storage opportunities for the family home.

This week we had a small custom joinery request from Josh & Elyse to help them fit their study nook in the hallway located next to the kitchen. The Block kitchens are sponsored by Freedom Kitchens so they are designed weeks in advance.

Shaker Style Kitchens Melbourne

COS Interiors can create custom shaker style kitchens like Josh & Elyse installed in their home. Shaker kitchens are a traditional style but you can have contemporary kitchen features using modern paint colours and stylish kitchen handles.

In the study nook, we created fixed shelves in a stunning Spotted Gum veneer that features throughout the Josh and Elyse’s home.

Josh & Elyse sourced their own marble bench top & COS Interiors created a 2 PAC shaker style storage cupboard. A small but stylish and practical space was created to enhance the functionality of the family home.

Custom Built Wine Racks

We were also requested to create a custom designed wine rack for Sticks & Wombat this week.

We were delighted to be asked and created a feature grade Blackbutt veneer wine rack with mitred edges and angled detailing. This was then recessed into the plastered wall of the kitchen and looks fabulous.

This week saw COS Interiors working hard on Shaker storage cupboards on The Block in the Master Suite; the biggest room ever revealed in one week.

Josh & Elyse requested to have custom 2 PAC finish to their storage cupboards in the master suite this week to continue with the high-end Shaker style finish throughout their home.

We normally allow a minimum 2-week turnaround however we have only only 6 days to have their joinery custom built, sprayed and fully installed.

It was a massive task and we are super pleased with the great effort from all our team and with the results.

Shaker Storage Cupboards

We were delighted to help Josh & Elyse design the internal layout to their robe and fit out with high end hardware & details for them to take out the win. The master suite was a classic with a modern twist, a very elegant & stylish room with Shaker style cupboards, robes, vanity and window day bed.

To maximise storage we fitted out the robes with Hafele wardrobe lifts, pull out shoe racks & jewellery drawers with felt linings. All joinery internals had black melamine carcass internals to give this room a modern edge. We finished with Blum Intivo drawer units and soft close hardware. All robes were handless with push to open hardware which keeps cleaning easy.

This week kicks off our joinery journey on Channel 9’s The Block 2017.

We were called by Josh & Elyse on Monday with the request for custom made joinery storage cupboards. We arranged a meeting onsite that day to discuss their requirements. With less than a week to have custom 2pac joinery installed in their living/dining room, we knew this was going to be a challenge and fantastic opportunity for COS Interiors. 

The brief was to create contemporary, elegant and functional storage cupboards to sit on top of the concrete hearth. In just one week we built and installed two custom made units with shaker style doors to maximise home storage. The storage units feature push to open doors & Blum soft close hardware.

This is first renovated section of the new extension to the old bungalow. It’s a contemporary design overall and our shaker style doors keep a touch of a classic style.
